Wen's Kitchen has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat in Asiatown since it opened in 2023. Great place to experience unique Sichuan-style dishes that are difficult to find elsewhere (it's one of the only places in town that I've been able to find duck tongues)! Be warned, some of their dishes can be quite spicy! Some of my favorite menu items: - Duck Blood Soup Rich, oily, pickle-infused broth with big cubes of coagulated duck blood. Will warm your whole body up on a cold day! - Pork Intestine w/ Pickled Radish Casserole Juicy chunks of pork intestine paired with pungent, salty, pickled veggies; a match made in heaven! - Sichuan Potato Crinkle-cut french fries tossed with cilantro, Sichuan peppercorns, and a ton of dried chilis. Basically a Sichuan-infused take on "dirty fries". Very spicy but also very addictive!

Not going to lie, don't order Wen's Special Mix if you are Baizuo. The szechuan peppercorns will mess you up. Mouth and lips numb. Otherwise the ingredients are pretty nice. All the other dishes were amazing. It's too much of deep cut for Westerners to enjoy. Get the fried greenbeans. You'll be happy.
We went to Wens with our extended family from Changsha, China. We were headed to the Asian Lantern Festival. Our daughter-in-laws parents are visiting the US and they LOVED this meal. If you want authentic Chinese, go here. It's a smaller venue, so don't be surprised if there's a wait, or you can call ahead for reservations.
I got a chili chicken appetizer and a braised beef noodle soup. The chicken came adorned with peanuts in a spicy sauce. It was arguably some of the best chicken Iโve ever had. It comes bone-in and there are shards so you have to eat with care. The portion was generous and could be shared. The soup was also delicious. The broth was super flavorful. Personally, I would have liked more meat, but what I had was delightful. The server was polite, though she didnโt speak very good English. I find that to be a positive. Very authentic. The menu was in a chinese dialect with English captions. They even had an โAmerican Chineseโ food section. Turns out Iโve never had authentic Chinese food. I have now. AMAZING!
The food is always amazing and very well priced! Brings me back to China The atmosphere is minimal, a little cold in the winter, and only 1 waitress but the flavor more than makes up for it! I recommend getting 3 dishes from the family style section per 2 people; you'll have leftovers. Rice is included
Wens really wets my whistle! The spicy popcorn chicken was a mix of peppery, juicy and spicy nugs, citrusy peppercorns and dried chilis that has me salivating writing this review. The star was the intestines and pickled radish casserole! This ainโt the green bean casserole aunt Debbie brings to thanksgiving! Wens casserole has sweet and smoky bite sized intestines that burst with flavor and melt in your mouth tenderness paired together with pickled oily veggies that ties it all together. Wens food warms my tummy and satiates my cravings. High recommend.
This place is newer(opened for 6monthe) Great experience, the amazing thing is when the food came out it was exactly like the whatโs shown in menu pictures. Presentation is awesome, quality is very good, portion size are one of the largest in Cleveland Asia town , price is very fair. There are limited seating, itโs seating area is smaller than average, but I would definitely return to this hidden gem.
